The Brief
Nelson Bay Kennels is a well established Dog boarding facility in Nelson Bay, Port Stephens. We had developed and managed the site for the previous owners. With the business changing ownership there was a need to re-brand and re-develop the site with a fresh look and feel.
The Client engaged us to re-develop the site. They provided the new logo and color scheme, we did the rest of the design.
Critical to the site was the requirement to have a comprehensive booking form that captured all of the relevant information needed to book accommodation. It was also important that existing clients didn’t have to keep providing that level of detail each time they came back.
Our Approach
With a limited budget, and a short time-frame, we built the site on the Divi platform.
The customer provided the content and images. We augmented imagery with some stock photos. The topic, Dogs, meant that the visuals and copy were quite easy, and the business itself was naturally in demand given it’s location in a prime holiday area.
The important business prerogative was the booking form for which we used Gravity Forms, our go-to form builder, to create the form and handle the conditional logic the Client required. We also created custom output for the form notifications.
The Result
Nelson Bay Kennels is a thriving business. They’re well established and organically in demand, meaning the need for marketing is minimal.
We’ve been hosting and managing the site, both with past and current owners, since 2012. Our basic care plan ensures the site remains updated, secure, and any minor changes and tweaks are taken care of.
