Does the monthly time rollover?
Like a professional service retainer, the monthly time is there for you each month to reserve your place in our queue and ensure our resources are available, therefore it does not roll over. You can rest assured that we will address your request, within your allotted monthly time, and give you our immediate attention.
What happens if my website goes down, breaks, or is hacked?
The whole purpose of our Care Plans is preventative maintenance, so we aim to prevent anything happening. If however your site has an incident that needs rectifying we’ll be right there taking care of getting it resolved as quickly as we can. We can’t promise your site will not be hacked, but we can promise we will do everything we can to prevent it, as well as assist in the restoration and cleanup of the site with one of our backups.
What tasks are included in the dedicated support time?
Good question! Our most common requests are content updates and small design improvements however anything that can be accomplished in that aallocated time is fair game. Just be aware that requests for new features, testing and installing a new plugin, or full design and build will most likely result in a formal quote as these tasks typically go over the monthly allotted time.
How do strategy calls work?
Most of the day to day activity on your site is accomplished with email and support tickets. The strategy calls are suited to brainstorming the strategy for website growth and improvements. Many clients use this time to share small updates, or for training.
What if I need more hours?
We’ve always been generous with our time however, if you have a task that requires more than your dedicated monthly time, we will submit a quote for you to approve separately from your plan. This is also evaluated on a case by case basis, when we know a request will go over the allocated time we will, with approval, work past the dedicated time and invoice you for the time in excess of the monthly allotment.
Can I really cancel anytime?
Yes, we strive to have a solid relationship with you and your website. Although we would hate to see you go we know that circumstances change and finances impact decisions. We don’t want to lock anyone in. Simply request a cancellation via email to supp[email protected] and we will immediately stop payments.
Please be advised that, in the circumstance where are providing hosting along with your plan we will require that you move the site to hosting of your choice. We don’t provide hosting only services.
My Website was not built by WebFoundations, can I still be on a Website Care Plan?
Although these plans are for sites we build or re-design, we welcome clients who are looking for a long-term relationship with a dedicated webmaster.
For sites we didn’t build the process is a little more involved. We like to do a Website Evaluation to become familiar with the website, understand how it was built, and determine what issues we might encounter.
During the course of the website evaluation we will make a backup and perform all the website updates and monitoring tasks. Most importantly we will make a list of issues to fix and suggestions for improvement in order to proceed with the website on a monthly plan. There is a fixed fee, dependent on the type of site, for the evaluation.
Do you offer hosting with your Care Plans?
Although we can, and do provide hosting, mainly cPanel shared hosting for our budget care plan clients, we find that our professional and advanced plan clients have more varied and unique requirements so we either arrange hosting as a seperate service, or the clients will provide ( with our recommendation and guidance ) their own solution.
What is WebFoundations standard hourly rate?
A at 8/06/2020 our standard hourly rate is $95 exclusive of GST. The rate is subject to change without notice.
What does unlimited support time include
Unlimited support time includes anything excluding Plugin Development, API programming, and custom integrations with third party systems.
